On the afternoon of December 7, the 6th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) Golden Coconut Forum: International Film and Television Industry Cultural Exchange Forum was held at the conference hall of the Kangnian Hotel in Sanya, Hainan Province. Themed "Copyright Innovation and New Industry Ecology from a Global Perspective," this forum centered on in-depth discussions regarding how free trade port policies facilitate international copyright cooperation, the ecological development of the film and television industry, and digital technology empowerment, providing new paths and solutions for the prosperity and development of the global film and television culture. During the forum, an international copyright cooperation signing ceremony was held, where overseas licensing agreements for the film and television copyrights of five outstanding domestic works were signed. The Hainan Branch of the China Copyright Center and Huadai (Hainan) Metaverse Copyright Service Co., Ltd. joined forces to focus on copyright trading and promote international exchange, successfully landing the "first deal" of international copyright trading in Hainan for all cooperating parties.

Sun Baolin, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Copyright Protection Center of China, noted in his speech that the HIIFF has become an important cultural pillar supporting the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port. This forum aims to promote cultural exchange and cooperation in the international film and television industry and drive the prosperity of the global film and television industry. He mentioned that the film industry reflects the industrial and cultural soft power of a country or region, and copyright trading serves as a bridge and bond for international film and television exchange. In the current digital era, the rapid development of AI technology is bringing unprecedented transformations to the film and television industry. Through the promotion and application of technologies and standards such as the Digital Copyright Chain (DCI) system, copyright protection for film and television works and other creative works can be better strengthened, and the data copyright management mechanism will promote cooperation in the global cross-border flow of data. During the signing session of this forum, the Hainan Branch of the China Copyright Center and China Copyright Service Co., Ltd. facilitated the intent for licensing cooperation between five Chinese film and television dramas and Spain, advancing cross-cultural exchange and cooperation.

In recent years, the Spanish film and television industry has achieved success in the international market with works such as The Invisible Guest, and its copyright market shows trends such as the rise of streaming platforms, deepening international cooperation, and accelerated technological innovation toward digital transformation. At the same time, copyright cooperation between China and Spain faces challenges such as cultural differences, differences in copyright protection laws, and intensified competition. However, it is also full of opportunities; for instance, the tax incentive policies of the Spanish government and China's cultural trade support policies provide a favorable environment for bilateral cooperation.
