On December 3, the volunteer etiquette training activity hosted by the 6th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) was held in Sanya. Through various forms such as theoretical explanations, guidance demonstrations, and scenario drills, over 280 volunteers who are about to participate in the festival's services learned and mastered the required skills through practice.

It is understood that these volunteers are mainly composed of students, nearly a hundred of whom come from outside the island. The training content covers multiple aspects, including international etiquette norms, reception service skills, basic multilingual communication, and introductions to the local folk customs and culture of Hainan and Sanya. This aims to enable volunteers to deeply understand Hainan's history, culture, and local customs, so as to better introduce Hainan to domestic and international guests and promote cultural exchange.
"We recruited volunteers from all over the world across various online platforms, including students from the University of Hong Kong and the National University of Singapore. Local volunteers in Sanya mainly come from two institutions: Sanya Zhongrui Hotel Management College and Sanya Institute of Technology, and they are primarily responsible for tasks such as subtitles and guest reception," introduced Ye Yixing, Volunteer Coordinator of the 6th HIIFF.
The HIIFF is not only a feast of cinematic art, but also an important platform for cultural exchange. As the bridge connecting the festival with the audience and guests, the volunteers' professional literacy, service attitude, service image, service language, service norms, and service behavior are all of crucial importance.
"I am majoring in film and television directing, and this is my third time participating in the HIIFF. The HIIFF is the platform that brings me closest to film, and I deeply cherish every opportunity to participate. This is my happiest moment!" said Yue Zehua, a volunteer from Sanya Institute of Technology.
"I hope that after this learning experience, it will be more helpful to our etiquette norms, allowing us to present our best demeanor to everyone," said Liang Shiqi, a volunteer from Sanya Zhongrui Hotel Management College.

"This training will share general volunteer etiquette, including foreign-related etiquette and communication etiquette. We hope that volunteers can provide thoughtful and meticulous service, making all guests and friends feel the enthusiasm and warmth of the Hainan people," said He Min, President of the Sanya Etiquette Association.
Next, the volunteers will uphold the volunteer spirit of dedication, mutual assistance, friendship, and progress, and welcome filmmakers, media, and audiences from all over the world with a more professional and confident demeanor, jointly witnessing this international cultural event where light and shadow intertwine.
