The 6th Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) will be held from December 4 to 10, 2024, in Sanya, Hainan Province. This year, the Open-Air Screenings section has heavily built a brand-new brand IP, "HIIFF Open-Air Screenings" (Have Fun). The event's footprint has expanded across four cities and counties in Hainan Island, bringing together a variety of dream venues including coastlines, beaches, pools, mountain peaks, green spaces, and urban forests.

How to Participate
The "HIIFF Open-Air Screenings" events are held at multiple locations. Among them, no reservation is required for the screening venues at Tianya Town, Maling Community, Sanya; Luhuitou Scenic Area, Sanya; Sunken Plaza, Sanya Summer Station; Century Cape Commercial Street, Haikou; Wanning China Resources Shimei Bay National Tourist Resort; and Lingshui Li Autonomous County Cultural Square. You can arrive at the venue in advance to participate, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
For the screening venue at the Aranya Sanya Community, you need to download the Aranya App. After opening the homepage, click the top left corner to select "Aranya Sanya", then click "Events" on the homepage to select the session and make a reservation.
For the screening venue at Sanya Kangnian Hotel, advance telephone reservation is required, with a daily limit of 50 people. Reservation phone: 0898-88685888 ext. 8368 (daily 09:00-18:00).
The screening at the China Media Group Sanya Base is an internal event and is not open to the public.
